This is a plain-language summary of how Maanas is built to handle your data. The full legal policy will be published before public launch, and this page will be updated to match it.

Your memory is yours

Everything you save in Maanas, including your notes, voice, photos and documents, belongs to you. It is stored against your account and kept separate from every other user's. Maanas never mixes your memory with anyone else's.

End-to-end encryption

Your content is end-to-end encrypted in transit and at rest. It is protected on its way to our servers and while it is stored, so the people around your data cannot read it.

Answers stay grounded

When you ask a question, Maanas builds the answer only from what you have saved, and shows you the source it used. It does not answer from the open internet, and when something isn't in your memory, it tells you rather than guessing.

We don't train models on your content

Your saved content is not used to train AI models. It is processed to give you answers, transcribe your voice, and run reminders, and that is all.

Sensitive answers stay hidden

Answers that contain something sensitive, such as a PIN, password or account number, are kept hidden on screen until you tap to reveal them, and re-hide shortly after.

What we collect

Reminders

Reminders you set are scheduled on your device. Reminder content is not sent through a third-party push service.

Sharing and third parties

Maanas relies on a small number of infrastructure and AI providers to process your requests. They act on our instructions to deliver the service. The complete list of providers and the full detail of how your data may be used will be set out in the final policy.

Your choices

You can export or delete your content and close your account at any time. Deleting content removes it from your memory.
